EAST won over the WEST 20 to 11. EAST: Jeff Steinmetz had 13 points (9 goals and 4 assists), Derek Estvanik had 4 points (goal and 3 assists) While Chuck Sindelar had 26 saves out of 37 shots. He also had 6 points (3 goals and 3 assists). WEST: Andy Steinmetz had 39 saves out 59 shots also had 3 points (goal and 2 assists). Today Sharpe Shooters played the Graylock Grizzlies in a double header. In the 1st game The Shooters won 20 to 3. Andy Steinmetz had 9 goals and 9 assists for 18 points. Also Steinmetz had 12 saves out of 15 shots. Ex-Shooters Scott Stoner now with The Grizzlies had 1 goal and a assists. Chuck Sindelar had 2 goals and a assist. Both Sindelar and Stoner split being in goal Stoner play the 1st Half having 17 saves out of 27 shots. Sindelar had 13 saves out of 23 shots. The 2nd game was just as easy for the Sharpe Shooters has the first game winning the game 12 to 5. Andy Steinmetz had 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points. In goal Steinmetz had 11 saves out of 16 shots. For Graylock Grizzlies Chuck Sindelar had 4 goals and 1 assist for 5 points. Scott Stoner had a goal and 3 assists for 4 points. In goal Stoner had 15 saves out 27 shots.

Thursday March 19th, 2009
Center Strikers vs. Sharpe Shooters. Derek Estvanik gets he's first win in the WPSL with a 20 to 16 score over the Strikers. Also another new comer Danielle ?. She is the 5th woman to play in the WPSL history. Danielle had 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points. Estvanik had 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points. Also Estvanik had 26 saves out of 42 shots. For the Center Strikers it is their first lost in two years. In goal Jeff Steinmetz and Dave Lukanc split playing one half each. Steinmetz had 13 saves out of 23 shots. Lukanc had 10 saves out of 20 shots. Steinmetz had 16 points ( 14 goals and 2 assists). Lukanc had 12 points ( 2 goals and 9 assists).

Also on Thursday Sharpe Shooters played Graylock Grizzlies but Shooters luck ran out. The Grizzlies won 12 to 7. Chuck Sindelar had 5 goals 5 assists for 10. In goal Sindelar had 15 saves out 21 shots. Derek Estvanik had 9 saves out of 21 shots. Danielle had 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points. Also Estvanik had 1 point (assist)

2009 WPSL season kick off it's 15th season on Saturday March 14. With our 2008 ANNY CUP Champs Center Strikers vs. Sharpe Shooters. New comer Derek Estvanik plays for the Shooters. Jeff Steinmetz and Dave Lukanc did not make it easy for the rookies by winning the game 20 to 12. Steinmetz had 18 points ( 12 goals and 6 assists) adding 22 saves out of 33 shots. Lukanc had 17 points ( 8 goals and 9 assists). Estvanik had 3 goals and 7 assists for the 10 points while in goal Estvanik had 26 saves out of 46 shots.

Also on Saturday Center Strikers played the Graylock Grizzlies. The Grizzlies jump out to a 3 goal lead but the Strikers came right back to win the game 20 to 11. Steinmetz had 19 points ( 13 goals and 6 assists) adding 21 saves out of 32 shots. Lukanc had 17 points ( 7 goals and 10 assists). Chuck Sindelar had 13 points ( 9 goals and 4 assists) also adding 34 saves out of 54 shots.

Dec 25, 2008 ANNY CUP: Center Strikers vs. The 2007 ANNY CUP Champs Sharpe Shooters

Andy Steinmetz was back in the line up for for the last three game of the 2008 season for the Shooters. Going 3 and 0 in goal. 85 saves of out 124 shots on goal. Scoring 23 goals and 24 assists for 47 points. For a great run at the end of the season but for the Shooters it was not to be a happy ended. The Center Strikers winning the 2008 ANNY CUP 20 to 7 on Christmas Night. Jeff Steinmetz scoring 11 goals and 2 assists for 13 points. Dave Lukanc with 9 goals and 9 assists 18 points for the Strikers. Jeff Steinmetz in goal had 28 saves out of 35 shots. Andy Steinmetz had 47 saves on the night ( A New ANNY CUP record) also 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points.

Center Strikers and the Sharpe Shooters played a double harder. The Strikers winning both games. The 1st game The Shooters jump out with a 4 to 2 lead. But the Strikers came back to win the the 1st quarter 5 to 4 and went on to win the game 20 to 16.
Jeff Steinmetz had 14 goals and 5 assists for 19 points. In goal Steinmetz had 36 saves out of 52 shots. David Lukanc had 6 goals and 12 assists for 18 points. Scott Stoner had 27 saves out of 47 shots. He also had 9 goals and 9 assists for 18 points.

In the 2nd the game. The Strikers and Shooter played a closer 1st half with the score 10 to 8. But in the 3rd quarter the Strikers open a big lead with 15 to 10. The Strikers went to win 20 to 12. Steinmetz had 12 goals and 7 assists for 19 ponts. Lukanc had 8 goals and 10 assists for 18 points. Steinmetz in goal had 37 saves out of 49 shots. Stoner had 6 goals and 4 assists for 10 points. He also had 29 saves out 49 shots.

On October 16th Scott Stoner return to the WPSL for the 1st time in 13 years. Stoner last play for the Graylock Grizzlies in 1995. This time he is playing for the Sharpe Shooters. The Shooters play against the Center Strikers and it wasn't good for the defending ANNY CUP Champs. The Strikers won 20 to 11 over the Shooters. Jeff Steinmetz had 18 points (13 goals and 5 assists) also had 29 saves out of 40 shots. Dave Lukanc had 16 points (7 goals and 9 assists). Stoner had 10 points (4 goals and 6 assists). He had 24 saves out of 44 shots on goal. The Shooters played without their starting goalkkeeper Andy Steinmetz. This is the first time in 12 season that Andy Steinmetz miss a game.
